Another addition to the practice of budget airlines reaching into passengers’ pockets with various applications and packages. Pegasus Airlines has made cabin baggage chargeable under the name of the ‘new flight package’.
Owned by Ali Sabancı, Pegasus Airlines made cabin baggage chargeable, without directly announcing it with its newly introduced ‘light’ flight package. Passengers who purchase the ‘light’ flight package from Pegasus Airlines will not have the right to carry-on or check-in baggage. These passengers will have to pay an extra fee for both carry-on and checked baggage.

Passengers with Super Eco, Advantage, and Comfort Flex packages, on the other hand, will have both carry-on and checked baggage allowances as they pay more for their tickets.
This practice caused great anger among passengers and there was a significant amount of negative reactions from users on Twitter, to the practice, which will start on February 14 and will be valid for flights to Cyprus and abroad.
