Turkish PM, main opposition leader meet in Ankara over Kurdish issue
Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu have begun their much-anticipated meeting on the latter’s proposals on the Kurdish issue at the Justice and Development Party’s (AKP) headquarters in Ankara.
Erdoğan and Kılıçdaroğlu will discuss the CHP’s 10-point “road map” to find a solution to Turkey’s decades-old Kurdish question. The proposal includes suggestions to establish a joint “Social Consensus Commission” in Parliament and a group of “wise people” linked to the commission to work on the issue.
