Özgür Aybaş, the President of the Turkey Tekel Retailers Platform, announced that beer prices would increase by 15-20 TL. Following consecutive price increases in the raki (anise-flavored alcoholic drink) category, beer is also set to undergo a price hike.
Last week, following a 12.5% increase in prices for the Efe raki group, Efe Gold 70cl was priced at 969 TL, while Efe Göbek 70cl reached 995 TL. The prices of Beylerbeyi raki group were raised by approximately 15%, with Beylerbeyi Göbek 70cl priced at 995 TL and Beylerbeyi Teragold 70cl at 895 TL.
Following the increases in raki prices, a wave of price hikes hit cigarettes. New increases were applied to TT, BAT, and JTI cigarette groups, and beer prices are also expected to rise.
