The fees for plastic bags used in grocery shopping have been increased from 0.25 TL to 0.385 TL per piece, effective from January 1, 2023. The decision of the Presidency re-determining the recovery participation share amounts to be collected from some products was published in today’s issue of the Official Gazette.
Plastic bag fees were increased from 25 krs to 38.5 krs per piece effective from January 1, 2023. According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, the increase will not be reflected to the citizen and the difference in-between will be covered by markets.
According to the decision list, following amount of the share participation will be collected in 2023
- passenger car tyres 6 TL,
vehicle batteries 15, 60, and 150 krs/kg (according to type)
batteries and rechargeable batteries 6, 9.5, 15, and 32 TL/Kg,
automotive batteries and vehicle batteries containing lithium 46 TL/kg
mineral oil 150 krs/kg, vegetable oil 32 krs/Kg,
electronic and telecommunications equipment, such as monitors, televisions 60 krs per kg
small home appliances from 60 krs/Kg,
white appliances (except refrigerators, and air conditioning equipment) 80 krs/Kg
drugs 3.2 krs/bottle recycling box,
