Qatar has announced that a humanitarian ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza will begin on Friday at 07:00 local time (GMT 08:00).
The ‘humanitarian pause,’ which is also expected to involve the exchange of Israeli hostages held by Palestinians, is anticipated to last for four days.
The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that 13 Israeli hostages, including women and children, would be released on Friday at 16:00 local time (GMT 17:00).
Israel has reported receiving the initial list of names of Israeli hostages held by Hamas’s military wing, the Izzeddin al-Qassam Brigades, stating that there are currently 239 Israeli hostages in their possession in the Gaza Strip.
