In Antalya’s Alanya district, a safari vehicle carrying tourists fell off a cliff. The accident occurred in Sapadere Neighborhood when the driver, Rıdvan Şahin, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall off a 5-meter-high cliff.
Emergency services, including medical, fire, and gendarmerie teams, were dispatched to the scene upon notification.
32-year-old Constantin Butnarescu, a Romanian national, died at the scene. His 29-year-old wife, Alina Elena, and their 4-year-old daughter, Ema Marina, along with another passenger, Mustafa Atalay, were injured and taken to “Alanya Training and Research Hospital”.
The driver fled the scene, and the gendarmerie has launched a search to apprehend him.
2 TOURISTS DROWN IN ANTALYA
On the other hand other unlucky incidents happened in Antalya’s Manavgat district. Two tourists drowned about an hour apart and 300 meters away from each other.
The first incident occurred in Evrenseki Neighborhood. According to reports, 74-year-old German encountered difficulties while swimming off the beach of his hotel in Evrenseki. He was pulled ashore and taken to a private hospital in Manavgat, unconscious. Despite all efforts, he could not be saved.
The second incident took place in Çolaklı Neighborhood. Maria Bundzelova, a 75-year-old Slovenian national, encountered difficulties while swimming off the beach of her hotel in Çolaklı. She was also taken to a private hospital in Manavgat, unconscious. Despite all efforts, she could not be saved either.
