“Scorching heat” affecting the country to continue in coming week

According to the meteorological forecasts, the scorching heat affecting the country will continue in the coming week. Despite the expected heavy rain in the middle of the week, there won’t be a significant change in temperatures.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has released updated weather forecasts. According to the predictions, the scorching heat will not leave the country in the new week.

TEMPERATURES AROUND 40 DEGREES CELCIUS EXPECTED

Particularly in the COASTAL AREAS and the Southeastern Anatolia Region, temperatures will hover around 40 degrees Celsius.

Starting from Tuesday, despite the expected increase in heavy rain in some areas, there won’t be a significant change in temperatures. The heavy rain is expected to move eastward and leave the country by the end of next week.

TODAY’S FORECAST: HEAVY RAINFALL TO STRENGTHEN LOCALLY

Today, the northern and eastern parts of our country are expected to be partly cloudy, with heavy and thunderous showers in Bolu, Karabük, Giresun, Trabzon, Artvin, Kars, and Ardahan areas; the inner parts of Düzce, Zonguldak, Bartın, and Rize; the northern part of Eskişehir; eastern Bursa; eastern Ağrı; northeastern Bitlis; and northern Van. Other regions will be mostly clear and sunny. The rainfall is expected to be strong locally in the eastern parts of Giresun and the western parts of Trabzon.
