Snow alarm and avalanche warning from Meteorology for 19 provinces

The General Directorate of Meteorology has warned of heavy snowfall in the Eastern and Western Black Seas. A yellow and orange code snow and avalanche warning was issued for 19 provinces.

According to a recent assessment by the General Directorate of Meteorology of the country Northern, Central and eastern part of the country will be partly and very cloudy, the east of Marmara and east north of central Anatolia, the Black Sea Region, northern part of eastern Anatolia, Muş will have sleet and snow, other places are expected to have a partly cloudy weather.

Precipitation is expected to be in the form of heavy snow on the Western Black Sea, Central and Eastern Black Sea coasts, as well as in the vicinity of Artvin and Ardahan. There could be an avalanche danger on the heights of the inner parts of the eastern Black Sea and on the steep slopes of the southeastern parts of Eastern Anatolia. It is expected that there will be fog and haze events in places in the northern, inner and eastern parts, along with icing and agricultural frost events.

THE TEMPERATURES WILL RISE

It is estimated that temperature will rise 2 to 4 degrees in Marmara, the coastal Aegean and the Western Mediterranean, while there will be no significant changes in other places.
