SunExpress is ramping up its flight capacity to Turkey from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland this October, responding to growing demand for autumn travel to the country’s most popular holiday destinations.
According to the airline, a total of 1.1 million seats will be offered on routes to Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum, and Dalaman throughout October alone. This marks a 5% increase compared to the same period last year.
More Flights from the DACH Region to Turkey’s Coastal Cities
With an expanded schedule across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), SunExpress is focusing heavily on boosting connections from Germany in particular. Key routes include increased frequencies from cities like Dresden and Erfurt to Antalya with two daily flights, while Dalaman will see more weekly connections from Berlin, Düsseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, and Stuttgart.
Extended Schedule into Mid-November
The airline plans to maintain this intensified flight program through mid-November, ensuring travelers have plenty of options for late-season getaways. In a statement, SunExpress noted that this move aims to meet the rising interest in Turkey’s rich selection of autumn activities—from beach relaxation and historical tours to outdoor adventures in milder weather.
This strategic expansion not only supports Turkey’s tourism economy but also positions SunExpress as a key player in seasonal travel between Central Europe and the Mediterranean.
