Ahmet Aras, the Mayor of Muğla, and Gonca Köksal, the Mayor of Menteşe, announced their marriage via a joint social media post. On April 1, 2024, they tied the knot at the Konakaltı Wedding Hall in Menteşe, Muğla, following the local elections on March 31, 2024, where both were elected as mayors.
