The growing number of cases of Omicron worldwide, including in Turkey, has raised concerns about the possibility of a third and fourth wave of Covid-19. While experts are still struggling to understand the nature of this new variant, the possibility of a species called Delmicron has arisen.

An Indian scientist has explained that this species, whose name was created by the combination of the names Delta and Omicron, may be responsible for the Covid-19 tsunami in the United States and Europe. As can be understood from the name Delmicron, both the Delta variant and the Omicron variant have various characteristics and are thought to cause serious illness

It is believed that it consists primarily of a combination of two existing variants, and not a new mutated variant of the corona virus, such as Delmicron, Alpha, Beta, Gamma and others (Delta and Omicron). It is believed that it is spreading rapidly, especially in the west.

The Delta variant has started a large-scale struggle with the fact that it leads to serious symptoms and increases the risk of hospitalization. The variant was also found to cause long-term symptoms such as post-infection brain fog, muscle aches and hair loss.

Omicron first detected in South Africa last month causes milder symptoms than the Delta variant. Researchers have shown by successive studies that, although highly contagious, it rarely causes serious symptoms and has a lower risk of hospitalization. However, experts believe that the Omicron variant is able to surpass the immunity provided by natural infection and vaccines. The most common symptoms of Omicron infection dec sore throat, headache, and fatigue.
