Based on reservations so far, tourism professionals say that they expect a British-dominated guest density in Bodrum this summer. The GM of a prominent hotel in the region shared information about the demand created especially on the part of foreign tourists with the opening of the summer tourist season. He said it was pleasing to see almost all closed or suspended fairs and workshops had started again thanks to the initiatives of the Ministry of Tourism and several NGOs, mainly.
He added, “In 2021 alone, Tourism Promotion and Development Agency of Turkey (TGA) made presentations on digital media in about 100 countries and on TV stations in about 20 countries.” Thanks to the most valuable work carried out by Bodrum Promotion Foundation (BOTAV) significant positive results were achieved and direct flights from many countries started again. In fact air traffic is expected to grow towards the end of May.”

The professional also noted that there was a serious movement in many markets, especially in the UK, adding in the first 3 months of the year, foreign tourist interest had increased by 135 percent compared to 2021, and all expected flights would begin with June.
