While there is a difficult period in Russia with Omicron cases approaching 200 thousand, the government’s recommendation to “direct the maximum number of its personnel to work remotely” is on the agenda. In this context, a Russian bank has decided to send its staff to Turkey.
One of the leading private banks in the country is planning to send its staff to 5-star hotels in Turkey for remote work. It is reported that the bank will test the new format with the participation of 1000 employees. Employees of the “back office” and IT specialists will be sent to Turkey for a week as part of the program where the company will cover air tickets and accommodation costs.
The bank is said to have 22 thousand 600 employees throughout Russia. The number of employees of responsible for the bank’s IT affairs is said to be close to 2 thousand. Participation in the program will take place on a “voluntary” basis. However, employees who will go to Turkey must be vaccinated. If the testing process is successful, the personnel whose work is suitable for remote work will be sent to Turkey in a 4-day work regime.
