Today is autumn, tomorrow winter… Meteorology issues warnings for 26 provinces regarding heavy rain and storms

According to the forecasts made by the Turkish State Meteorological Service, it is expected to be mostly cloudy throughout the country, with thunderstorms and scattered rain in regions including Marmara, Western Black Sea, western parts of Eastern Anatolia, the interior parts of the Eastern Black Sea, as well as in Adana, Osmaniye, Rize, Tokat, Sivas, and Kayseri. In Edirne and Kırklareli, rainfall is expected to be intense. Strong winds are expected to blow from the south in the inner parts of the Aegean, Western Mediterranean, Central Black Sea, Eastern Black Sea, and Western Anatolia, as well as the southern parts of Marmara. MARMARA

The region will be partly and mostly cloudy, with intermittent rain and thunderstorms expected. The rainfall is expected to be locally heavy in Edirne and Kırklareli. The wind will be strong from the south, blowing at 40-70 km/h.

AEGEAN

Partly and mostly clear with strong winds expected to blow from the south in the inland regions, potentially reaching storm-level speeds of 40-70 km/h.

  • İZMİR: 17°C to 24°C, mostly clear with occasional clouds.
  • MUĞLA: 5°C to 21°C, mostly clear.

From the evening, eastern parts will become mostly cloudy, and rain showers are expected in Adana, Osmaniye, and Kahramanmaraş. Winds will be strong from the south in the inland areas with a storm risk (40-70 km/h).

MEDITERRANEAN

CENTRAL ANATOLIA

Partly and mostly clear with increasing cloudiness throughout the day. After midday, scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected in Sivas, Kayseri, and Niğde. The wind will blow from the south at 40-70 km/h.

WESTERN BLACK SEA

Partly and mostly clear with increasing clouds, followed by intermittent rain and thunderstorms after midday.

CENTRAL and EASTERN BLACK SEA

Partly and mostly clear, with increasing clouds. From midday, rain showers are expected in the inner parts of the Eastern Black Sea, including Tokat and Ordu. Strong winds (40-80 km/h) are expected in the inland areas. There is also a risk of avalanche in the interior regions of the Eastern Black Sea.

EASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly and mostly clear, becoming cloudy later in the day. By the evening, rain and showers are expected in the western parts of the region. The wind will be strong, blowing from the south at 40-70 km/h. There is a risk of freezing and frost in the northern and eastern parts of the region during the morning and night. There is also an avalanche risk on the steep slopes of higher areas.

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly and mostly clear throughout the day.
