Turkey’s national weather service has released its latest forecast, predicting mostly sunny and warm conditions across much of the country. However, localized showers and thunderstorms are expected in several inland and northern regions during the day.

Temperatures are forecast to remain above seasonal averages, continuing the hot summer pattern seen in recent weeks.

Istanbul to Stay Warm and Dry

Visitors and residents in Istanbul can expect partly cloudy skies with a daytime high of around 31°C.

Although rain is forecast for parts of western Thrace, including Edirne, Kırklareli and Tekirdağ, Istanbul is expected to remain dry, making it another favorable day for sightseeing, ferry trips and outdoor activities.

Antalya and Fethiye Enjoy Classic Mediterranean Weather

Southern Turkey continues to experience ideal summer conditions.

Antalya is forecast to see sunny skies with a high of around 31°C, offering excellent weather for beach holidays, swimming and outdoor dining.

Fethiye is also expected to enjoy hot, dry and sunny conditions, making it another great destination for visitors exploring the Turquoise Coast or planning boat excursions.

Only some higher inland areas of the Taurus Mountains may experience isolated afternoon showers, while coastal resorts are expected to remain dry.

Bodrum Stays Sunny

Bodrum is expected to remain warm with plenty of sunshine throughout the day.

Like much of Turkey’s Aegean coast, the resort is forecast to experience clear skies and temperatures in the mid-30s, providing ideal conditions for beaches, sailing and other outdoor activities.

Rain Expected in Parts of Northern and Eastern Turkey

Localized showers and thunderstorms are forecast for parts of Thrace, northeastern Central Anatolia, the inland areas of the Central and Eastern Black Sea regions, northern Eastern Anatolia, Osmaniye and southwestern Kahramanmaraş.

Cities including Erzurum, Kars, Ardahan, Ağrı and Iğdır may also see afternoon thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, southeastern Turkey is expected to remain hot, dry and sunny, with temperatures reaching 40°C and above in some locations.

Summer Travel Outlook

For travelers heading to Istanbul, Antalya, Fethiye or Bodrum, the weather remains highly favorable for sightseeing and beach holidays. Those planning trips to northern inland regions should stay informed about local weather updates, as brief afternoon showers and thunderstorms may develop.
