Here is a quick update from the Turkish auto market. May 2025 was a big month. According to the Automotive Distributors and Mobility Association, car sales in Turkey reached over one hundred seven thousand. That is a seven point four percent increase compared to May last year.

Even more impressive, from January to May, total car and light commercial vehicle sales reached almost four hundred ninety thousand. That is the highest number ever recorded for the first five months of a year.

Here are some quick highlights

Most buyers are choosing A, B, and C segment vehicles which are lower in price and tax. Manual transmission cars are quickly fading out of the market.

In short, despite high inflation and ongoing economic challenges, the Turkish auto market is showing strong growth. Buyers are clearly shifting toward automatic, fuel-efficient, and electric models, with SUVs leading the way.
