Heavy rainfall is expected in Istanbul. Flash floods may occur.
According to the Turkish State Meteorological Service (MGM), heavy rainfall is expected in Istanbul starting this evening. The precipitation will intensify overnight and into Thursday morning.
The MGM has issued a warning for possible negative effects such as sudden floods, waterlogging, lightning on the coasts, strong winds during rainfall, and transportation disruptions.
The Istanbul Governorship also stated from its official account, “Be cautious and take precautions.”
