Meteorology has warned the citizens by sharing the information that Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, western of Central Anatolia will be torrential while the higher parts of Eastern Anatolia will be snowy.
With the second week of January, the cold wave will have an effect on the entire country. Air temperatures which are 4 to 10 degrees above seasonal norms, will fall to seasonal norms starting today. Expected snowfall will arrive in Istanbul and Ankara, while downpours will be effective at home.
According to recent assessments from MGM (General Directorate of Meteorology), the country will be very cloudy (except Balıkesir and Bilecik), Marmara and the Aegean region, the southern part of the Aegean coastal region, west, middle and east of the Black Sea and the interior, the interior of the eastern and southeastern Anatolia regions will be rainy, inner eastern Anatolia, the Black Sea and the eastern interior is high-segments in Taurus in the Mediterranean and in the eastern Anatolia region will see sleet and snow and thunderstorms with showers will be seen in South Aegean and Mediterranean along the coast and heavy rain will be seen in other places.
