According to the Meteorology Department’s forecasts, heavy rain is expected in many cities across the country today and over the weekend. Temperatures in some regions will be up to 10 degrees above normal.
WEATHER FORECAST
Today: Heavy rain will affect the western and central parts of the country.
Tomorrow: The rain will continue in the central areas and also spread to the eastern regions.
Rain: The rain will gradually move eastward and lose its intensity by the middle of the new week.
WARNING FOR SEVERAL CITIES
The Meteorology Department’s latest assessments indicate that today, localized thunderstorms and heavy showers are expected in:
– Northern and Inner Aegean regions
– Inland areas of the Western Mediterranean and the Toros Mountains
– All of Central Anatolia except Yozgat and Sivas
– Inner parts of the Western Black Sea
– Northeastern Eastern Anatolia
– Surroundings of Balıkesir, Bursa, Bilecik, and Artvin
– Inland areas of Trabzon and Rize
Other areas will experience partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.
TEMPERATURE FORECAST
– No significant changes in temperatures are expected.
– Across the country, temperatures are predicted to be 3 to 10 degrees above the seasonal norms.
