Weather in Turkey on July 30, 2025: Continuing Heat, Incoming Rain?

"Share this post on social media, spread the news"

As July comes to a close, the heat across Turkey shows no signs of slowing down. According to the latest forecasts from the Turkish State Meteorological Service, most of the country will continue to bask in hot and sunny conditions, but some regions—especially in the north and east—should brace for scattered showers and thunderstorms.

Northern and Eastern Regions Set for Showers

Much of northern and eastern Turkey is waking up under heavy cloud cover. Areas most likely to see local rain and thunderstorms include the northern Marmara, Eastern Mediterranean’s Taurus Mountains, Hatay’s coastline, and eastern Black Sea cities such as Artvin, Giresun, Trabzon, Rize, and Osmaniye.

Winds will also pick up in northern Marmara, inner parts of the western Black Sea, and around Hatay, with gusts expected to reach up to 50 km/h. If you’re near the coast or up in the hills, it might be wise to keep an umbrella—or at least a windbreaker—close by.

The Heat is On Everywhere Else

For the rest of the country, it’s business as usual: clear skies and extreme heat. Cities like Denizli, İzmir, and Manisa are expecting highs near 38–39°C, while Çankırı will sizzle at 42°C and Malatya pushes even higher at 43°C. Down in Diyarbakır, the mercury could hit a brutal 45°C.

Even coastal cities that often enjoy a breeze, like Antalya, are sticking close to 31°C, though the air feels much heavier with the humidity.

Live Weather Check: Istanbul, Muğla & Antalya

Istanbul

Right now, Istanbul is mostly cloudy with scattered breaks of sun and a temperature hovering around 28°C (82°F). Localized showers began in the early hours and may continue through the late morning. The afternoon is expected to bring some clearing, but skies will stay partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day. Wind from the north will keep things a bit breezy, but the humidity is making it feel warmer than it is. Expect a peak of around 30–31°C (86°F) today. Good idea to keep your plans flexible if you’re outdoors.

Muğla

Muğla is experiencing a classic summer scorcher today. Skies are clear, the sun is intense, and it’s already pushing past 30°C (86°F). By early afternoon, expect a high of 34°C (93°F) or even slightly more in some inland districts. No clouds, no relief—but perfect beach weather if you’re close to the coast and can find some shade.

Antalya

It’s another hot and humid day in Antalya. As of mid-morning, the temperature is 29°C (84°F) and rising quickly. Skies are sunny with barely a cloud in sight, and it will remain that way well into the evening. The afternoon high is expected to hit around 32°C (90°F). There’s no rain in the forecast, but the combination of heat and humidity means the real-feel temperature could be several degrees higher.

If you’re in or traveling to northern or eastern parts of Turkey, pack light but don’t forget to check for local showers, especially in the morning and early afternoon. For everyone else—especially in the Aegean, Mediterranean, and southeastern regions—hydration, sunscreen, and shade are essential.
