Yellow Alert for 7 Provinces: Meteorology Issues a Heavy Rain Warning!

According to the forecast from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the entire country will experience partly cloudy and mostly cloudy weather. It is expected that the Marmara, Aegean, Western Mediterranean, northwestern Central Anatolia, the western part of the Western Black Sea, as well as the areas of Bayburt, Erzincan, Tunceli, Bingöl, Diyarbakır, and Batman will have heavy rain and thunderstorms.

The rainfall will be locally strong in the afternoon in regions including Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Bursa, Manisa, Uşak, and Kütahya, as well as the northern districts of İzmir and Denizli. Here are the regional weather forecasts for March 28, 2025:

MARMARA

Partly cloudy and mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in the region from the afternoon, especially around Çanakkale, Balıkesir, and Bursa. Local heavy rainfall is expected in these areas in the afternoon.

AEGEAN

Partly cloudy and mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in the region in the afternoon. Local heavy rainfall is expected in the northern districts of İzmir and Denizli, as well as Manisa, Uşak, and Kütahya. Winds will be strong (40-70 km/h) and may reach short-term storm levels in the inner parts of the Aegean.

MEDITERRANEAN

Partly cloudy and mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in the Western Mediterranean in the afternoon. Winds will be strong (40-70 km/h) and may reach short-term storm levels in the region’s inland areas.

CENTRAL ANATOLIA

Partly cloudy and mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in Ankara, Eskişehir, and the eastern districts of Sivas in the afternoon. Winds will be strong (40-70 km/h) and may reach short-term storm levels in the southern and western parts of the region.

WESTERN BLACK SEA

Partly cloudy and mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in the evening for Zonguldak, Bartın, Bolu, and Düzce. Winds will be strong (40-70 km/h) and may reach short-term storm levels in the western parts of the region.

EASTERN AND SOUTHERN BLACK SEA

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms expected for Bayburt in the late evening.

EASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected in Erzincan, Tunceli, and Bingöl in the evening.

SOUTHEASTERN ANATOLIA

Partly cloudy, becoming mostly cloudy, with scattered rain and thunderstorms expected for Diyarbakır and Batman in the evening.
