President Rouhani says US-backed Gulf states responsible for the attack in his country

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani blamed the US-backed Gulf states for the terror attack on a military parade in Ahvaz. He added they were ready to retaliate. At least 25 people, including 12 Revolutionary Guards, were killed as a result of an armed attack on the military parade in the city southwest of the country. Both the Iranian National Anti-Iranian Resistance and the ISIS took the responsibility for the attack.

Prior to his departure for the United Nations General Assembly meeting in New York on Sunday, President Rouhani shared with reporters that he blamed the US-backed Gulf countries for providing anti-government Arab organizations in Iran with financial and military support.

Rouhani also said, “Iran will respond to this attack within the framework of law and country interests”.
