Moody’s revises 2017 growth expectation for Turkey from 2.6 to 3.7 percent

Moody's Growth Forecast for Turkey
In a global macro report released on Wednesday August 30th 2017, Moody’s reported that it had revised its 2017 growth forecast for Turkey upwards. The international rating agency, Moody’s included Turkey in its “Global Macro Report”. The international rating agency increased its growth expectation for Turkey in 2017 from 2.6 percent to 3.7 percent. The agency also announced that a growth rate of 3.2 percent was expected for Turkey in 2018.

It was inserted in the report that the growth forecast revisions for China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico and Turkey had been due to unexpectedly strong data recorded in these countries.

According to the same report, US growth estimates for 2017 and 2018 were downgraded to 2.2 and 2.3 percent, respectively.
