Turkey starts Ro-Ro ferry services from Iskenderun

In compliance and to contribute to the efficient measures taken by the concerned ministries Turkey started Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) services from a privately owned Port in Iskenderun, southern province of Hatay on Sunday.

Turkish Customs and Trade Minister Hayati YAZICI made a speech at the ceremony and said that Turkey was a country playing a key role in regional and global integration.

The minister went on to mention that Turkey which was located at the crossroads of Europe, Balkans, Black Sea and Middle-East, had energy, trade and transportation networks”.

The minister also added Ro-Ro ferry services from Limak Port Iskenderun would serve as an alternative transportation means for freight to be delivered to countries in the region and would certainly contribute to Turkey’s trade.
