Countries sending the highest number of tourists to Muğla in 5 months

The number of foreign tourists visiting Muğla in the January-May period of 2024 has been revealed.

According to data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, as reported by Tourism Databank, the number of foreign visitors to Muğla increased by 14.4% from 585.1 thousand to 669.3 thousand in the January-May period of 2024.

The number of foreign tourists increased by 13.9%, rising from 541.6 thousand to approximately 617.0 thousand. The number of domestic tourists also saw a 20.4% increase, growing from 43.4 thousand to 52.3 thousand.

The British are in the lead with a 16% increase

During this period, the largest group of foreign visitors came from the United Kingdom, with 356 thousand tourists, marking a 16% increase compared to 2023.

This market was followed by Poland with 51.4 thousand tourists. Germany was in third place with 48.7 thousand tourists, showing an approximately 65% growth. The Russian market, however, followed them with an 11% decline.
