Economy in Turkey: Foreign investors focus on six main sectors

While the foreign share in the stock market rose to 39.40%, foreigners made net purchases in six sectors. Among the sectors where foreigners made net purchases, bank, oil, transportation, food, retail, and metal main sector shares stood out. They sold shares in the automotive, cement, and fertilizer sectors.

Foreigners returned to buying in the stock market. According to the data from the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT), foreign investors bought a net $309.1 million worth of stocks on Borsa Istanbul until May 3. Stock holdings reached $39.5 billion. Looking at the foreign share, it reached 40%. As of April 9, the foreign share in the stock market was 39.40%. When we look at the top 15 stocks that foreigners bought the most in April, the first 15 stocks were as follows:
