Russia issues open threat to France: “We will strike if soldiers come, no mercy!”
French President Emmanuel Macron received a harsh response from Russia regarding the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
Macron, who did not dismiss the possibility of France sending troops to Ukraine, stated that if Russia crossed the Ukrainian frontline and Kiev requests military support, this possibility could legitimately be considered. Macron emphasized that if Russia escalated its actions, all European leaders would have to consider sending troops to Ukraine, stating, “There is nothing I ignore because we are dealing with someone who does not ignore anything.”

Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova addressed questions about Macron’s statement during a press briefing today. Zakharova used the phrase “strategic ambiguity” to describe Macron’s statement, suggesting it as a desire to create uncertainty for Russia.
