1.3 billion dollar investment from CINER group
Turkish Ciner Group Corporation and Chinese Tianchen have signed a contract for the construction of a $ 3 billion facility at Kazan, Ankara.
Signing ceremony between Ciner Group company Kazan Soda Electric and China Soda Ash Cogeneration Plants Tianchen Engineering Corporation took place at Cıragan Palace and was attended by Energy and Natural Resources Minister TANER YILDIZ.
Minister YILDIZ made following statement:
“Investments to be made until 2017 overlap with our strategy to prevent unemployment. We are going to pave the way more each and every day, to make life easy for investors. Turkey has the highest rate of growth in energy, in the OECD countries. While we accomplish this transformation on one hand, we will keep growing on the other hand”.
Turgay Ciner, Ciner Group Chairman of the Board of Directors said “I am proud of this investment on behalf of my group and Turkey. With this investment, we will be the largest producer of soda ash in the world. Every single dollar produced will turn into net foreign currency inflow into the country”.
Ciner also said, the investment would be completed in 2016-2017 and it would consist of 5 parts.
1,3 billion dollars portion of 1 billion 750 million dollars exportation we plan realize will come from soda. Eti soda will also be in this figure. The funding of this investment will be made by Chinese banks.
We will not use local banks. 2 thousand 200 people will be employed. 8 thousand tons of goods will be transported daily.
