Turkish Exporters Assembly conducts survey about satisfaction with Turkish export goods

The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) announced the results of the Turkish Export Products Perception Survey conducted in 26 countries. TIM Chairman Mehmet BUYUKEKSI said that the rate of satisfaction with Turkish export products is 62 percent, “The countries with highest satisfaction rate are Britain with 85 percent, France with 77 percent and India with 74 percent. In the EU which buys almost half of our export products, this rate is 59 percent, “he said.

Chairman also added that in the survey questions were forwarded about Turkey’s image (as a country) and 60 percent answered as “positive”. As for brand awareness for “Turkey: Discover the Potential” slogan, the result was 41 percent positive.

Evaluating the results of the research BUYUKEKSI said: “Image of our export products, are generally perceived positively in international markets. We must invest more in research, innovation, branding and design in order to move this perception up further. Our products are strong in markets where our country’s image is also strong. We should never allow our country image to deteriorate. A mistake a company of ours will make in any market can make that market difficult to enter and penetrate for all our other exporters.

The study was conducted under the title “Turkish Export Products Perception Survey” via face-to-face interviews with purchasing managers of 2,520 firms in 6 major sector groups in 26 countries and the results were announced by TIM.
