10 thousand children will be given online education with the “Coding for Tomorrow” project

Turkey’s Vodafone Foundation has added another to its projects to combat the coronavirus epidemic. The foundation has carried its project called “Coders of Tomorrow” and realized together with the Habitat Association to online environment for 43 thousand children in 60 provinces to benefit from said service.

Accordingly, children between the ages of 7 and 14 will be able to learn coding through classes that will be opened through digital platforms. It is aimed to reach 10 thousand children by the end of the summer with the online training to be offered.

Official of Vodafone Turkey Foundation said the whole world and Turkey were going through an extraordinary period because of the Coronavirus outbreak and added, “today, we are talking about new normals for both individuals and institutions. Distance education is one of our new normals. We support “distance Education applications” that have become a social need with our online trainings”.

The official also said, “In this direction, we will continue to teach coding to our children between the ages of 7 and 14 through classes that we will open on digital platforms. Our goal is to reach 10 thousand children by the end of the summer. We are at a time when we need to act in a spirit of unity and togetherness as a society. In this period, we all have important duties. As Turkey Vodafone Foundation, we will continue to be part of the solution and use technology to improve human life. On this occasion we celebrate the 23rd April national sovereignty and children’s day of our nation, especially our children.”
