100 thousand Russian athletes to come to Turkey for winter camp

Due to the fact that European countries are closed to Russia, 100 thousand Russian athletes are expected to come to Antalya for winter camp this year.

The embargo imposed by western states due to Russia’s military operation in Ukraine will affect the winter camps of sports clubs in the country. An official from Pegas Touristik has said that Turkey will be the camp center of Russian sports clubs this year.

Speaking to Turkish media the official said, “Previously, Russian sports clubs preferred countries such as Switzerland, Austria, Estonia, Slovenia for camping. This year, Antalya in particular and cities such as Muğla and Izmir are the target of Russian sports clubs. About 100 thousand Russian athletes will come to our country with clubs.”
