13 agreements worth $ 50.7 billion between Turkey and the UAE

In a statement made by the Directorate of Communications it said “13 documents have been signed and accepted between Turkey and the United Arab Emirates in various fields. The total amount of the agreements is $ 50.7 billion.”

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan attended the meeting between the delegations of the two countries at Al Vatan Palace.

Speaking here, Erdogan expressed his pleasure to visit Abu Dhabi again and thanked Al Nahyan for the hospitality shown to his person and delegation.

Stressing that they were pleased with the development of close dialogue and cooperation on the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations with the UAE, Erdogan said that relations were to reach the level of strategic partnership with the joint memorandum of understanding to be signed.

EXPLANATION ABOUT THE AGREEMENT FROM ERDOGAN

President Erdogan noted following: “We will ensure that our relations with the High-Level Strategic Council mechanism are regularly handled at the highest level. We see a benefit in organizing a Trade and Investment Forum in Istanbul in the fall to introduce the agreement to our business world. The contractual basis of our cooperation will be strengthened with the new texts to be signed. We want to strengthen the legal infrastructure in areas such as investment promotion, security, renewable energy and transportation.”

Stating that the UAE’s participation in the International Anatolian Eagle 2023 Exercise with 4 F16s and 80 personnel is a concrete example of defense relations, Erdogan said that the intensive participation provided by Turkey in the IDEX and NAVDEX Defense Industry Fairs held in Abu Dhabi and the interest shown to Turkish companies was also gratifying.

13 NEW AGREEMENTS SIGNED

Erdogan underlined that this cooperation would go forward with the International Defense Industry Exhibition IDEF, to be held in Istanbul on July 25-28, and expressed his satisfaction at being invited to the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair as a “guest of honor”.

Erdogan, who expressed that they wanted to crown this cooperation by opening the Turkish Cultural Center in Abu Dhabi later this year, wished that the decisions to be taken and the agreements to be signed in various areas would be auspicious.

Following the speeches, 13 agreements were signed between Turkey and the UAE in the fields of investment, economy, industry, defense, law, judiciary, renewable energy and space industry.
