19th “Alanya Jazz Festival” prepares its most impressive program

JAZZ FESTIVAL IN ALANYA

The Alanya Jazz Festival, one of Turkey’s prominent jazz events, is set to celebrate its 19th edition this year. Running from September 26 to September 29, 2024, the festival will feature four days of performances from world-renowned jazz artists. The concerts will be held at the historical Kızılkule Square in Alanya and will be free to the public.

Alanya Mayor Osman Tarık Özçelik has invited all residents to join the festival, which has adopted the slogan, “Jazz Returns to the City Again,” emphasizing its long-standing tradition of bringing top jazz musicians to Alanya.

Headlining Performances

This year, the festival will be headlined by Turkish jazz legend Hayati Kafe, who resides in Sweden and will perform on September 26. The same evening, Dutch jazz singer Judith Nijland will perform her project *A Jazz Tribute to ABBA*.

Other notable performers include Turkish jazz vocalist Selen Beytekin and Franco-Spanish singer Cecilia Krull, who will take the stage on September 27. On September 28, Turkish blues vocalist Dilek Sert Erdoğan and Seattle-based blues-rock singer Kimberly Nichole will perform. The festival will conclude on September 29 with performances by Barış Doğukan Yazıcı Quartet and famed Spanish singer Monica Molina.
