24-hour water cut in Bodrum, the prominent resort town of Mugla

A 24-hour water interruption has begun in 26 locations in the touristic city of Bodrum, located in Muğla, following the closure of dam water intake.

Due to the declining water levels and the closure of water intake from Mumcular and Geyik dams in Bodrum, one of the world’s most important tourist destinations, water interruptions are being experienced. Within this context, a 24-hour water interruption started at 06:00 today in 26 different locations throughout Bodrum.

In a statement made by Muğla Water and Sewerage Administration (MUSKİ), the areas affected by the water interruption are as follows: “Kumbahçe Upper Areas, Yalıkavak Tilkicik region, Koyunbaba DYP 4, Yokuşbaşı Upper Areas, Umurça Upper Areas, Koyunbaba DYP 5-6 network Upper Areas, Çırkan, Geriş Erdemil Area, Bitez Upper Areas, Gümüşlük Upper Areas, Peksimet Lower Area Kadıkalesi Beach Area, Müskebi Village, Turgutreis Old Bus Station Upper Area, Turgutreis Turgut Özal Boulevard Area, Karabağ, Türkbükü Upper Areas, Torba Upper Areas, Gölköy Upper Areas, Yokuşbaşı, Çarşı, Umurça, Kumbahçe, Küçükbük Upper Areas, Gündoğan and Farilya Upper Areas, Kızılburun Region Tankay Depot.”
