270 terrorists killed by Turkish army across the Iraq border

In an interview with the Turkish press, Chief of General Staff General Necdet Özel informed that about 270 terrorists were killed in operations against PKK since 17th  August 2011.

The terrorist organization had escalated its terror acts in the south east region of Turkey during the last few months in specific and in fact killed 24 soldiers at ÇUKURCA only a short while ago.

The Turkish armed forces started a big ground operation supported by war planes and hit the bases inhabited by terrorists.

It is known that Turkish army has been considering to amend and upgrade its war tactics against the terror organization for a while, that has caused so much trouble and lives for the past 30 years.

It is also clearly observed that the last operations have been the most successful ones against PKK  in the history of the army.
