4 tons of fake wine seized in Izmir
In the Bergama district of Izmir, a total of 4 tons of 102 liters of fake wine were seized in the operation organized by police teams.
Provincial Police Directorate Aliağa Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Bureau Chief teams, took action after they had gathered information that A.Y. a resident in Bergama was producing and selling fake drinks.
Following the technical and physical follow-up, a total of 4 tons of 102 liters of fake wine, 159 corks, 338 empty glass bottles of 70 cc and 1 unlicensed pistol were seized in the operation organized at the suspect’s address.
Judicial proceedings were initiated against A.Y. for the crimes of ‘violating the Anti-Smuggling Law No. 5607 and the Law No. 6136 on Firearms and Knives and Other Tools’.
