7th day of strike by Yemeksepeti couriers: Orders fall by 70 percent

YEMEK SEPETI COURIERS ON STRIKE

The action initiated by Yemeksepeti couriers with a request for a net fee of TL 5,500  and job security has entered its 7th day. According to the statement of the Transport-Business Union, the call to boycott Yemeksepeti in support of couriers was reciprocated, and the company’s orders fell by 70 percent.

Yemeksepeti couriers, who have been on strike for 7 days with the demand for wage increase and job security, gathered once again today in front of the company’s headquarters in Istanbul at the call of the Shipping-Business Union affiliated to DISK. Yemeksepeti couriers addressed the employer with the slogans ”There is no going back“, ”We burned the ships, there is no going back“, “The workers are here where is the management”, “We will win by resisting”, “Long live class solidarity”.
