86 Percent of the stock is in the hands of 3.6 percent of the investors

An expert in economy wrote that 86 percent of the shares in Borsa Istanbul were in the hands of 3.6 percent of investors. While BIST 100 index, positively dissociates from the world as a whole with 168 percent return since the beginning of the year, it has exhibited its strongest two-month performance with a gain of 57 percent in the last 2 months, since the year 2000.

The dollar-based increase in the BIST 100 index during this period was 56 percent. Despite the rise, the index is far from its dollar-based record. Due to the increase, the stock market has also become the center of those who want protection against inflation.

According to Data Analysis Platform (VAP) statistics, the number of domestic share ticker investors in Borsa Istanbul exceeded 3.3 million as of November 30. The number of investors who have just entered the stock market in 11 months is close to 1 million. While the market value of share certificates increased from 872.4 billion liras to 1 trillion 673 billion liras, the increase rate was 92 percent.
