A message like a warning from Germany to Russia: They will pay a political and economic price

“Russia will pay a high political and economic price for the re-violation of the Ukrainian state” Annalena Baerbock, Germany’s new Foreign Minister, said at a press conference in France, where she was making her first trip abroad adding “We can find solutions diplomatically, only”.

Annalena Baerbock, the Foreign Minister of the coalition government formed in Germany after the end of the 16-year term of Angela Merkel, made her first foreign trip to France.

Minister Baerbock attended a joint press conference after meeting with his French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian in the capital Paris.

Baerbock warned Russia that it would pay a “high political and economic price” if it took any military actions against neighboring Ukraine.

 “Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty are not open to negotiation for usBaerbock said, noting that the priority should be to prevent a “military escalation”.

The Minister said, “Russia will pay a high political and economic price for the re-violation of the Ukrainian state. We can only find solutions diplomatically, and we are both ready to deal with this issue personally.”
