BODRUM ART 1

Our foreign friends living in Bodrum have come together to establish an art group called Bodrum Art. They showcase their works to art enthusiasts from time to time.

“The story of Bodrum Art Collective is as follows: Bodrum Art Collective is a multi-national group of five artists living in the Aegean port of Bodrum; a town full of art galleries, museums, and ancient sites that—in less than half a century—has evolved from a small, Turkish fishing village into an international holiday destination and art hub.

The group formed by Ali R Haji, Annie Onursan, Johanna Den Dunen, Sarah Carter and Sue Dunlop aims to foster collaboration among a local community of artists and art lovers to motivate and encourage diverse forms of art as they draw inspiration from each other and the beautiful land and sea surrounding the historic place they have chosen to call home.”

One of the exhibitions they recently organized under the title “BODRUM WITHIN”, garnered significant attention, especially from those living in Bodrum who visited the exhibition.

Among the members of the group, Annie Onursan is a Brtitish artist who settled in Bodrum many years ago. Originally trained as an archaeologist and as a chef, Annie Onursan shifted her focus to painting five years ago after 2 decades of involvement in ceramic art (clay). In our opinion, she (as well as other members) produces highly successful works, as you will see in the link provided.
