Ankara Provincial Pandemic Board introduces new restrictions for citizens 65 and over

Ankara Provincial Pandemic Board has decided that citizens 65 years of age and over or those with chronic illness should be restricted from entering areas such as wedding, funeral, condolence, marketplace, social activities, etc. On the other hand, it was also decided to put partitions between the driver’s place and the passengers in vehicles such as taxi, dolmus and public transport vehicles with fiberglass between the driver’s place and the passengers.

Ankara governorate Provincial Public Health Board has taken new decisions in the context of combating the corona virus. A statement from the governor’s office was issued as follows: With article 2 of the decision no 2020/65 of the Provincial Public Health Board it has been decided that whether the isolation conditions are complied with by person subjected to isolation especially in the first 7 days period will be monitored by the District governorships and law enforcement units.

REGULATION for 65 YEARS OF AGE AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

• Fiberglass partitioning between driver’s places and passengers in taxi, dolmus and public transportation vehicles will be put into practice
• Citizens 65 years of age and older with chronic ailments will be restricted from entry to crowded areas such as weddings, funerals, condolences, marketplaces, social activities etc.
• In street weddings, the duration of the wedding is determined as a maximum of two hours and the banning of mass meals, and other details and procedures will be determined by authority.
• Usage of HES “life fits in the House” application in all public institutions prior to appointment requests and in entries to public institutions will be compulsory

FINES WILL BE APPLIED

• Our board had decided that our citizens 65 and over were restricted from going out to the streets with our decision 10/06/2020 date and 2020/46 no. It was also decided that they could go out between 10.00-20.00 hours to comply with the rule of social distance and wearing a mask.These citizens are recommended not to use public transportation at peak hours in the peak traffic.
• It has been decided by consensus that judicial process will be initiated for those in violation of the obligation of insulation at home, as per “the implementation of administrative fines in accordance with Article 282 of the law on public health, as well as in relation to the subject in accordance with article 195 of the Penal Code”.
