Announcement from Israel: “We will cancel the ground operation only on these conditions”

Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Conricus has made the following statement: “If Hamas releases all the detainees and surrenders, there will be no ground operation in the Gaza Strip.”

Speaking on the Australian radio station ABC, Jonathan Conricus, the press spokesman of the Israel Defense Forces, said in a statement about the “ground operation in Gaza”, which has been on the agenda for days, “If Hamas comes out of hiding behind Israeli civilians, as it is doing now, returns our 212 hostages and surrenders unconditionally, then the war will end”.

Conricus stressed that if Hamas did not meet these conditions, the Israeli army would be forced to conduct a ground operation in Gaza.

Reaction to those who support Palestine

“Pro-Palestinian protesters are either unaware of the situation in the Gaza Strip or hate Israel,” said Conricus, a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), who also reacted to the worldwide demonstrations of ‘support for Palestine’ in his speech.

While Conricus claimed that actions taking place in some countries of the world, including Australia, that support Palestine amounted to ‘support for terrorists’ who destroyed civilians, and added “these protests are attended either by people who are unaware of what is happening in Gaza or by people full of hatred against Israel.”

Conricus said that while those who participated in demonstrations in support of Palestine claimed to support an organization that tortures, executes civilians and attacks a sovereign country, those who participate in these demonstrations take the side of terrorists.

“Do you want to be near them?“ a spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) asked, “Will you be on the side of the terrorists or on the side of Israel? This is your moral choice and it will go down in history,” he concluded.
