Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Böcek: Antalya tourism deserves more investment
Muhittin Böcek, the Mayor of Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, along with CHP Provincial Chairman and an Antalya Member of Parliament, met with representatives of the tourism sector, including AKTOB President and TÜROFED President at an iftar dinner.
During the iftar dinner, Muhittin Böcek stated that Antalya generated $25 billion out of Turkey’s $55 billion tourism revenue, emphasizing that the city deserved more investment as a result.
Böcek announced plans to renovate the 13-kilometer Kundu tourism road, which served the tourism sector for 12 months, with bicycle paths, running tracks, and landscaping, aiming to contribute to the development of local businesses and the increased satisfaction of tourists.
Additionally, Böcek stated that they would open a Tourism Continuous Training Center in Antalya to address the need for intermediate personnel in tourism and to provide employment opportunities.
