Assad regime confirms Turkish forces shoot down 2 Syrian planes

There has been a heated development today in the wake of the assault on Turkish forces in Idlib by Syrian forces.

It was reported by agencies at noon that “Turkish forces had shot down a Syrian plane” upon which a confirmation from the Assad regime came. SANA, the official agency of the Assad regime, circulated the news that “Turkish forces had shot down two SU 24 planes belonging to Syria.”

Turkey’s Ministry of National Defence also confirmed the development.
