Assos and Troy tunnels opened to reduce 50-minute travel time to 5 minutes

Çanakkale Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road and Assos and Troy Tunnels were put into service with a ceremony held. President Erdogan, who participated in the opening live with link from Beştepe, said thanks to the project, the 50-minute road would be reduced to 5 minutes.

Giving information about the project, Erdogan said, “This road, which has a total length of 5,7 kilometers with its tunnels of up to 9,6 kilometers, is one of the most important parts of the North-South axis that provides access to Balikesir and Izmir.”
