Biden sends letter to President Erdogan for climate summit with world leaders

PRESIDENT BIDEN LETTER TO ERDOGAN CLIMATE SUMMIT

US President Joe Biden has invited the leaders of 40 countries, including President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to a summit of leaders on climate, the White House said.

The United States will host the online summit on April 22-23. A White House statement also said that during the summit, the 2030 goals set by the United States under the Paris Agreement, which it rejoined, would be announced.

At the Climate Summit, strong measures to be taken against global warming around the world and their economic benefits will be discussed among leaders.

The summit is considered to be the start of the United Nations Global Warming conference (COP26), scheduled to be held in Glasgow in November 2021.

At the summit, many issues will be discussed, from public awareness efforts, to the economic benefits of measures to be taken, from international security problems due to climate change to the protection of those affected by climate change.

LETTER FROM BIDEN TO ERDOGAN

Meanwhile, U.S. President Biden sent a letter to President Erdogan. Biden said in his letter that he shared the pain of Turkish citizens, their families and all the people affected by the corona virus outbreak.
