Breaking News: Fire Near Residential Area in Antalya: Children in Nursery Evacuated

A fire has broken out in a wooded area near a residential area in Antalya’s Konyaaltı district. Children from a nearby nursery have been evacuated as a precaution.

The fire started in a wooded area across from the Konyaaltı Municipality in Kuşkavağı Mahallesi for reasons yet to be determined. The flames, fanned by the wind, spread to an area with large pine trees.

Numerous fire brigade teams have been dispatched to the area following the alert.

Road Closed to Traffic

Police teams have taken precautions and closed the road to traffic.

Nursery Children Evacuated

During this time, children attending a nearby nursery were evacuated as a precaution. The children were temporarily hosted at the Konyaaltı Municipality and have since been handed over to their families.

Crews are working to bring the fire under control.
