ROBERT COURTS STATEMENT ABOUT BRITISH TOURISTS

British air and Maritime Minister Robert Courts has urged British citizens wanting to book holidays abroad to wait until May to see which country will feature in the “new traffic light” system. “Otherwise, those who book may be disappointed”, he said.

However, Global Travel working group (KSCB) which published its report on April 12, as to when and under what conditions the summer holidays could be made, did not take into consideration the government’s warning “It’s early to book summer vacations” and said, “People are free to make booking a holiday abroad.”

They may be disappointed

“We have now published the framework,” said Courts, who noted that the travel industry was too optimistic. We tell people, you can do research for reservations. But my advice is to wait to see which country is in what colour (green, orange, red). Otherwise, they may be disappointed. People need to make sure they can change their booking or get a refund. They should also be aware that they may need to be isolated on holiday returns” t Minister said.
