CBRT increases forecast figures for year-end dollar TL and inflation rates based on survey

In a central bank survey, the dollar TL rate forecast for the end of 2021 rose from 7.79 to 7.95.

The central bank (CBRT) announced the results of its “March 2021 Expectations Survey”. Year-end inflation, interest rate and exchange rate expectationsrose as compared to last month, the survey found.

Accordingly, the expectation of consumer inflation (CPI) which was 11.23 percent in the previous survey period rose to 11.54 percent in this survey period.

The CPI expectation 12 months ahead was 10.36 percent in the previous survey period, compared to 10.47 percent in this survey period.

The CPI expectation projected for 24 months was 9.03 percent and it rose to9.18 percent, during the same survey periods.
