Colorful Sky Festival in Fethiye: The Air Games Once Again Amazed the Crowd
Every year at the end of October, the skies over Fethiye turn into a canvas of color and excitement. The 24th International Fethiye Ölüdeniz Air Games Festival once again filled the air with adrenaline, artistry, and breathtaking views. Held between October 23 and 27, 2024, the festival transformed the skies of Ölüdeniz into a stunning spectacle as hundreds of paragliders took off from the majestic slopes of Babadağ.
This year, nearly a thousand athletes from 60 different countries joined the event, making it not only a sports festival but also a global cultural gathering. Acrobatic pilots wowed the crowds with daring maneuvers, while wingsuit jumpers, high-speed paragliders, and Turkish Aeronautical Association’s motorized flights added even more excitement. As the sun went down, the energy continued at Belcekız Beach with live concerts by Moranos, Ahmet Gültekin, Coverman, and Onur Asilkılıç, keeping the festive spirit alive well into the night.
Fethiye Mayor Alim Karaca emphasized that the event holds great importance not only for local residents but also for the global promotion of Fethiye. Indeed, the festival draws thousands of tourists each year, strengthening the city’s identity as a hub for outdoor and adventure sports.
